India’s emergence as a leading power requires a security architecture that is anticipatory, technology-driven, and anchored in strategic autonomy. The Indraprastha Security Forum assesses how India can enhance deterrence across its continental and maritime theatres while maintaining internal cohesion against hybrid and non-traditional threats. Our research analyses the full spectrum of security challenges, from cross-border terrorism and revisionist regional actors to cyber intrusions, information warfare, space militarization, and grey-zone coercion to ensure that India’s rise is protected by a resilient and future-ready national security posture.
The Indraprastha Security Forum integrates defence studies, intelligence assessment, and geostrategic analysis to develop actionable frameworks for comprehensive national power. We examine force modernization, jointness and theatreisation, defence-industrial scaling, critical technology acquisition, border and maritime infrastructure, and whole-of-society internal security preparedness. The Program also evaluates how strategic partnerships, Indo-Pacific cooperation, and calibrated assertiveness can reinforce India’s autonomous security trajectory. We will develop policy recommendations that fortify deterrence, enhance institutional coordination, and secure the long-term foundations of a Surakshit, Atmanirbhar, and Shaktishali Bharat.
